1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Information you disclose to us
In short: We collect the information that you provide to us such as name, address, contact information, passwords and security data, data to list a property, and payment information.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when registering at the Services expressing an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and services, when participating in activities on the Services (such as writing reviews on our blog, writing reviews of properties, or entering competitions, contests or giveaways) or otherwise contacting us.
We collect the property data owners voluntarily provide when homeowners, authorized agents or representatives of property owners ("owners") are listing a property on the Site.
The information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make and the products and features you use. The data we collect can include the following:
Name and contact data. We collect your first and last name, email address, postal address, phone number and other similar contact data.
Property data. We collet the location, characteristics, contact details, area and any other property data related to the property used to list the property on the Site.
Credentials. We collect passwords, password hints, and similar security information used for authentication and account access.
Payment data. We collect data necessary to process your payment if you elect to receive the Services that require payments, such as your payment instrument number (For example: the credit card number), and the security code associated with your payment instrument. All payment data is stored by our payment processing partners.
All personal/property data that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
If you are providing any personal information from another person, you should first ask them to read this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions. If you are providing personal information about another person you are confirming that they have given you consent to provide the personal information to us and that they understand how their details will be used.
Information automatically collected
In short: Some information – such as IP address and/or browser and device characteristics – is collected automatically when you visit our Services.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies.
2. HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?
In short: We process your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent.
We use the data collected via our Services for a variety of business purposes described below. We process your information for these purposes in reliance on our legitimate business interests, in order to enter into or perform a contract with you, with your consent, and/or for compliance with our legal obligations. We indicate the specific processing grounds we rely on next to each purpose listed below.We use the information we collect or receive:
- To facilitate account creation and logon process. If you choose to link your account with us to a third party account * (such as your Google or Facebook account), we use the information you allowed us to collect from those third parties to facilitate account creation and logon process for the performance of the contract.
- To send you marketing and promotional communications. We and/or third party marketing partners may use the personal information you send to us for our marketing purposes. If this is in accordance with your marketing preferences. You can opt-out of our marketing emails at any time (see the "WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS" below).
- To post testimonials. We post testimonials on our Services that may contain personal information. Prior to posting a testimonial, we will obtain your consent to use your name and testimonial. If you wish to update, or delete your testimonial, please contact us at support@wetravelnature.com and be sure to include your name, testimonial location, and contact information.
- To protect our Services. We may use information as part of our efforts to keep our Services and secure (for example, for fraud monitoring and prevention).
- To enable user-to-user communications. We may use your information in order to enable user-to-user communications with each user’s consent. We may display the property contact details on the listing to allow users to directly reach the property owners.
- For other Business Purposes. We may use your information for other Business Purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our Services, products, marketing and your experience. We may use and store this information in aggregated and anonymized form so that it is not associated with individual end users and does not include personal information. We will not use identifiable personal information without your consent.
Users have the option to send requests to owners via the contact owner form available on the Site. Users and owners will be able to exchange messages via the tools on the Site. If you choose to send a request through these options, your personal information, including your email address and any other information you provide via the tools on the Site (unless otherwise specified on the Site), will be visible to the owners you sent the requests to. For compliance and security reasons, the Site may also receive the information you provide so that we have access to those communications even if you directly contact the owners. Unless users and owners start engaging in private communications that are performed outside the Site and the tools of the Site, all future communications through the tools on the Site are also monitored for any fraudulent/suspicious requests/replies, either from users or owners. Additionally those requests and messages may be hosted on, be processed by or transmit through our servers. If you engage in such communications and call the other party, you may be asked to provide a telephone number. Do not share in the e-mail or phone call any information or personal data, including, but not limited to, bank account, credit card or financial information of any kind, you do not want the Site, the owners and any other users to have access to it. We may use third party e-mail servers to send and track receipt of requests and messages in order to analyze the pattern of such communications for trust and security purposes as well as to gather data, such as request (on an anonymous basis), to help us understand our business and improve our Services.
In order to prevent users from misusing email addresses that may belong to other users on this Site, the users who already have an account with us, and are not connected at the time of submitting their requests, will be asked to log into their account in order to submit their requests to owners. However, there is no obligation to have an account with us in order to contact owners via the contact form available on the Site. Such users who do not have an account with us, and do not wish to create an account, will remain "visitors" however their name, email address, message and any other information provided in that request sent via the contact form on the Site will also be stored for compliance and security reasons, and this Privacy Policy as well as our Terms and Conditions will also apply to them. Such visitors will receive an email with a copy of the request they sent to the owner. In that email, visitors will have a "sign-up" link option to create a traveler account with us. The "sign-up" link will take effect after the first request sent to an owner and will expire after a specific period of time which will be clearly stated in the email. The same "sign-up" link option, with the same expiration time frame, will be sent to visitors in case of replies from owners. Visitors who are creating a traveler account by using the "sign-up" link option within that specific period of time will have their requests sent via the contact form during that specific period of time as well as any replies from owners retrieved into their newly created traveler account. Visitors who are creating a traveler account by using the "sign-up" link option after that period of time will still be able to create a traveler account however none of the requests and replies from owners will be retrieved in their newly traveler account. Visitors who are creating a traveler account without using the "sign-up" link sent via email will not be able to see their requests and replies from owners in their newly created traveler account.
Owners have the option to delete private messages (when contacting other owners) as well as messages related to properties (when travelers send requests for the properties they have listed on the Site). Travelers have the option to delete private messages. In both cases (owners and travelers), the option to delete messages will delete all messages that are part of a same thread, meaning all messages related to a same conversation will be deleted. We urge the users to carefully use this option. Some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms and Conditions and/or comply with legal requirements.
3. HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION?
Our Site is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our Site as safe as possible.
We implement a variety of security measures when users submit, or access, their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.
The security of your information is important to us, but remember that the internet is not absolutely secure. While no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and despite the use of commercially acceptable measures we take to protect your information, it is your responsibility:

The Site may contain links to other sites, or you may be allowed to access the services from other sites, that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites, products or services when following a link to another site.

4. WILL YOUR INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH ANYONE?
In short: We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations.

Our servers are located in the United States. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

In short: In some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.
In some regions (like the European Economic Area), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; and (iv) if applicable, to data portability. Account information
Users are encouraged to keep up to date their information. Owners have access to their private account - as well as any of the properties they may have submitted - via the "Owner Area Login" situated at the top of the Site. Travelers have access to their private account via the "Travelers Area Login" situated at the top of the Site. Both owners and travelers have the option to correct or update their information. We reserve the right to remove any correction or update that we deem to be inappropriate, inaccurate or that violate any law or legal requirement. We may ask you to provide personal information in order to correctly identify you should we need to make corrections to your account.
If you no longer desire to use our Services and wish to close your account, you can do so by accessing the "Close account" option that is in the "Account settings" section. You will have 30 days from submitting your closure account request to reopen it. The option to reopen your account is available by accessing the "Reopen account" option that is in the "Account settings" section. If you do not wish to reopen your account, it will be definitely closed after that period of 30 days and, in the case of owners, all properties linked to that account will be removed from any of our listing. Please allow us some time to totally remove the properties from listing once the account closure was requested. Some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms and Conditions and/or comply with legal requirements.
Cookies and similar technologies: Most Web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove cookies or to reject cookies. If you choose to remove cookies or reject cookies, this could affect certain features or services of our Services. Opting out of newsletter and email marketing: You can unsubscribe from our newsletter and email marketing list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, by contacting us using the details provided below. You will then be removed from the marketing mailing list – however, we will still need to send you service-related emails that are necessary for the administration and use of your account. To otherwise opt-out, you may:

Phishing or False emails
We do not send emails asking for your personal information (such as your credit card, login, or password). If you receive an unsolicited email that seems to be from us, or a user of our Site, requesting to provide your personal information, or that asks you to verify or confirm your account (With the exception of the email sent to confirm your email after the signing up process. No further emails are sent when the user has activated the account) or other personal information by clicking on a link, that email is most likely sent by someone trying to unlawfully obtain your information. We do not ask for this type of information in an email. Do not provide the information or click on the link. Please contact us at support@wetravelnature.com if you get an email like this.
12. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy policy.
13. DO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In short: Yes, if you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.
California Civil Code section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and address of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.
14. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS POLICY?
