My idea was to create a website where Nature Lovers could navigate through a listing of vacation rentals to find their next Getaways in Nature and explore the natural world - while they could also discover new destinations and get inspired to live a more natural and a healthier lifestyle with the experiences shared on a blog.

The project started taking shape when my brother recommended me to create the website from scratch so I could built it exactly as I wanted.

Best advice ever!

And so did I. I built this website from top to bottom learning how to use HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, JavaScript and jQuery.

This is how from not knowing anything about programming to building from scratch this website has changed my life and I became a self-taught developer.

I didn’t know anything about coding. I have a professional background in back office and translation.

Nothing to do with coding, right?

So I started watching tutorials on how to build a website and I quickly realized that I loved brainstorming and how the challenges kept me focused. I enjoyed the ability to create anything from scratch. It was fun! And the fun turned into what is now my passion.

The website quickly evolved into a more sophisticated platform where I created a message tool between users, an owner and a traveler area, the option for owners to publish and amend their vacation rentals, the option to comment on the blog and submit reviews on vacation rentals.

And it kept going on with the creation of the newsletter subscription and publication tool, some graphic designs, I made the website mobile-friendly and implemented many other plugins.

I never thought this dream would take me that far but I am not going to lie…

…it takes a lot of hard work, dedication and time! But you know what they say... “Time flies when you’re having fun!” I went through struggles and frustrations too of course, but I never stopped believing in myself.

Nature makes me feel good and relaxed. It helps me clear my mind and find inspiration for my projects.

The reason why I chose to build a website about Travels in Nature is because I am passionate about long distance walks while exploring the beauty of Nature. That feeling of peace I experience when I am in nature is important for me.

Throughout the years it became even more important to be in contact with the natural world and to live a healthy lifestyle.

Running this online Nature Adventure is an incredible experience I want to share with you.

It is such a great feeling to write my first blog post. It brings me back to the very beginning of this adventure and remembers me the importance of never giving up on my passions and to do what makes me happy. No matter what.

The idea is to share this passion publishing information about Travels in Nature while also providing inspiration to live a more natural and a healthier lifestyle. I hope you get inspired and enjoy the journey as much as I do.
